Separate continuities
The seven novels provide this edition’s reference continuity. Films, games, stage material, interviews and supplementary websites can offer additional interpretations, but are not automatically merged with events in the novels. The founding edition does not yet maintain separate adaptation articles.
Fact, inference and theory
An event shown in the text, a statement made by a character and a reader’s interpretation are different kinds of evidence. We aim to attribute claims carefully. A character being certain does not make a claim true, and silence in the text does not establish that an event happened.
Spoilers
Article fact blocks and the timeline can be filtered by the last book read. The setting is saved on your device. Entry names, introductory summaries, relationships and search results can still reveal broad context; this is not a guarantee that every possible spoiler is hidden. Later-book fact blocks are excluded from the full-text search index.
Original writing and media
Entry summaries are original editorial text. We do not reproduce chapters, scans, film stills or third-party wiki articles. The castle illustration, atlas and decorative symbols are original interface artwork. Identifying a source is not the same as obtaining permission to reproduce its images.
Corrections and accountability
This is a founding collection with concise entries. Mistakes and omissions are possible. A useful correction identifies the entry, the claim and the relevant book and chapter. Prepare a correction →
Advertising and commercial relationships
No advertising or affiliate links are active in this edition. Any future commercial placement should be clearly identified and kept separate from the sourcing of reference entries.
