Overview
Ron grows up in the Weasley family and meets Harry on the journey to Hogwarts. Unlike Harry and Hermione, he already knows many everyday customs of the magical world. His experience of belonging to a large family shapes his insecurities as well as his humour, generosity and attachment to his friends.

This entry distinguishes what the story establishes from what a character believes. For context, read the named chapters rather than relying on an isolated statement. A film scene, game mechanic or fan theory is not evidence that the same event occurs in the novels.
