Overview
Hogwarts is the principal setting of Harry’s school years. Its classrooms, common rooms and grounds combine everyday routines with hidden spaces and magical hazards. The castle’s geography is described through the story rather than a complete architectural plan; film layouts and game maps should therefore be identified as separate interpretations.

This entry distinguishes what the story establishes from what a character believes. For context, read the named chapters rather than relying on an isolated statement. A film scene, game mechanic or fan theory is not evidence that the same event occurs in the novels.
